Wallace Stevens Poem Broadside

For the 56th Annual Wallace Stevens Writing Program, Design Center Studio designed the annual limited-edition letterpress broadside.

The poetry piece for the 56th Edition was written by Claudia Rankine, an acclaimed author, and poet. The untitled work of prose poetry speaks about the narrative between two people.

To give voice and authority to the poem, abstract imagery was used to reference a conversation without detracting from the prose.

This broadside design won a Gold Award at the 44th Annual Award Show of the Connecticut Art Director's Club.
